After twelve years of building a successful practice in New Orleans, LA, Dr. Goodspeed uprooted and moved to Birmingham, AL. Read on to find out why!
Dr. Goodspeed was introduced to Cecilia on a blind date in December 1998 by some Birmingham friends. Cissy was so special and such a great match that they were wed in New Orleans on May 6, 2000. Dr. Goodspeed then moved as soon as he found a suitable dentist to take care of his patients in New Orleans. They gave birth to their son, Gray Evan Goodspeed, in 2002. What a bundle of joy! Gray continues to be a blessing with his caring soul and agile mind and body. Cissy and Barry are ever so greatful for their family and the many blessings provided to them.
Once in Birmingham, Dr. Goodspeed looked all over the city for a suitable place to re-establish his dental practice. Good fortune and patience led him to the practice of Dr. I.J. Tortorici in Homewood, AL. The practice and location were similar to his New Orleans practice. Arrangements were then made for Dr. Goodspeed to assume the roll of Dr. Tortorici as Dr. Tortorici retired. Dr. Goodspeed is the fourth dentist to practice in this building. The Homewood practice has been the perfect choice!
Every year Dr. Goodspeed's practice institutes some improvement for better patient care. At the start in 2001, internal and external renovations were made. Some major equipment additions have been panorex x-ray machine, automatic x-ray film processor, treatment room computers, implant drill system, digital intraoral cameras, electric endodontic handpiece, soft tissue laser, and Isolite suction/retraction system. Dr. Goodspeed added the Cerec CAD/CAM porcelain restoration system in 2010. Dr. Goodspeed and his staff also continually add services for their devoted patients including implant placement, Invisalign orthodontics, Cerec same day porcelain crowns and fillings, and Botox and dermal fillers.
